Epic!
You should have seen a paper titled Epic! in your child's folder today.  Be sure to check this out!  It's a new website that I will be soon linking to our google classroom.  It is filled with free educational content!  It would make a great resource at home for when your child has "screen time".  It has books to read, audiobooks, and educational and how-to videos.  Be sure to check it out using our login code that is listed on the paper.  This is not meant to take the place of Reading Counts or anything else, jsut a fun way to supplement and make reading even more exciting!

Just to let you know--I will be out of the classroom tomorrow.  I will actually be at school, just in a high ability teacher training meeting all day. :)  Mrs. Sanders will be the sub, and if you don't know her, she does a great job!  The class will be in good hands. :)  I have told them not to try to quiz on their multiplication facts.  I will take care of those on Thursday.  Also, if you have any transportation changes, please send a note to Mrs. Sanders, or call the office so they can send a note down at the end of the day.  I'm not sure how much email access I will have.  See you Thursday!

Happy Halloween!

field trip
Just a reminder that our field trip to downtown Franklin is TOMORROW. We can have 5 chaperones only per class, due to capacity limits at the museum and city hall.  If you are one of the 5 parents picked, you should have gotten an email from me last week.  Here are the 5 I have going:  Joel's mom, Emery's mom, Addison's mom, Brent's mom, and Harrison's mom.  But don't worry!  We will be going on a field trip to the children's museum in December, and will take AS MANY chaperones as want to come for that field trip!

We are still planning on going on our field trip tomorrow, however, we are aware the the weather forecast calls for rain and strong winds.   We will have the buses available to take us between our stops, if we feel it is needed.  Your child may still get a bit wet getting on and off the bus and walking short distances, so rainjackets or water repellent jackets would be helpful.   We will do our best to make it an enjoyable trip for all. Don't forget to send a sack lunch with your child tomorrow!  We will eat inside at Franklin College.
