Math Study Guide
The chapter 5 math study guide is going home tomorrow.  Remember that I don't collect these for a grade, but they are a great way to review at home before the test.  The math test will be Thursday, January 30th.

Division Cards
I will be sending home division flash cards very soon--this week or next.  These will be just like the multiplication flashcards--practice at night and sign the line on top of their reading log.  When they are ready to quiz, just send them back in.  If they pass, I will send the next baggie home.  Every 4 quizzes, they earn a brag tag.  One thing is harder this time--instead of passing each number (ex-all the x2 cards), the cards are scrambled up.  There will be a parent letter sent home with the first baggie of cards.  Thanks in advance for your help at home!

Spelling Test
Due to the  4 day week and the field trip Thursday, we will only do 3 days of Superkids this week.  So the spelling tests will be on TUESDAYS for a while.  Our test over the new words will be Tuesday, January 28th.

BLESSING BAGS
This event was huge last year and we got great feedback.  SO we are doing it again!  We are starting to collect items for the bags.  We will put the bags together on Valentine's Day during specials.

BLESSING BAGS

This February 14th, Valentine’s Day, we will be sharing the love.  Every student at Creekside will come to the gym and assemble a blessing bag.  This is such a great way to teach our students how to give back and to be empathetic.  Blessing bags are ziplock bags filled with basic essentials: shampoo, deodorant, socks, combs, etc.  We will give these to local organizations like Kic-It and churches so that they can be distributed around the community.  We need your help to make this project work. We will need a lot of items to complete the bags. We are trying something new this year. Each grade level will have specific things to donate.  You can still donate other items, but we thought this would help give some guidance! See the list below. If you are part of a business that would like to help donate items or money for us to buy items that would be awesome.  Please email Alysha Sherry at sherrya@franklinschools.org with any questions or concerns!

Kindergarten--Shampoo/2-1 products
First Grade----Toothpaste/toothbrushes
Second Grade--combs/water bottles
Third Grade----socks (adult sizes, neutral colors)
