PTO Walk-A-Thon $$$$
Money is due Thursday!!!! This is our one BIG fundraiser for our PTO!  We will walk on Friday, October 4th at 1pm.

Field Trip
Today you will find a paper in folders about our walking trip around Franklin.  Please have those in WITH $5 as soon as you can.  We can have 5 chaperones only per class, due to capacity limits at the museum.  If I have more than 5 sign up, I will pick 5 out of a hat.  But don't worry!  We will be going on a field trip to the children's museum in December, and will take AS MANY chaperones as want to come for that field trip!

Happy Tuesday!

NWEA reports home
Today I am sending BOY NWEA reports home.  There are two versions--one with the normal graph you are used to seeing, and another page with a new student summary.  Look these over and please let me know if you have questions and concerns.  We will go over these again at parent teacher conferences.

DIBELS reports home
I am also sending home BOY DIBELS reports today.  This report looks a little different than in past years, as there are a few new reading subtests for 2nd grade.  As always, please let me know if you have questions or concerns!

Parent Teacher Conferences (also known as Creekside Family Conferences!)
In your child's folder TODAY you will find a sign up sheet for parent-teacher conferences that will be held October 9th and 10th.  Please sign up your preference for a time to come meet with me to discuss your child's progress, and return to school as soon as possible.  It will be no problem giving everyone their first choice of day, but please understand you may not get your top choice of times.  I will do my best to accommodate each family, but with 26 children and many having the same top three choices, it just isn't possible.  But I promise to get as close to your time as I can.  I will give preference first to those who turn their forms in sooner!  Our goal is 100% parent participation, so let's make it happen for our class!  Your time slot will be confirmed with you by the end of the month.

Another great week ahead!

From Mrs. Bell--
Hi!  Just wanted to pass along this exciting opportunity for our students to learn a song and dance with our amazing FCHS show choirs!  The clinic is open for any K-6 Franklin student and participants are invited to perform what they learn at the upcoming FCHS Choir concert!  Flyers were handed out in music class, but it would be great if you would consider including the attached doc in your newsletters!  Thanks so much!

math study guide
Today, I am sending home the math unit 1 review packet.  This does not need to be returned for a grade.  It can be kept at home and worked on as review this week, to make sure your child understands all the math concepts we have worked on so far.  This will be a very good review to complete at home, before the unit 1 math test.  The math test will be on Wednesday, September 11.  When working on it, if your child really struggles with something, please let me know so we can review at school too before the test next Wednesday.
