Happy Fall!

Creekside PTO Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser 2021
The Creekside Walk-a-Thon is the main PTO fundraiser for our school. All of the money raised will benefit students and teachers through the work of our amazing Creekside PTO! It will help pay for playground equipment, school equipment like the rock wall and water bottle fillers, BINGO for Books, science nights, supplies for teachers and students, and so much more!
Instead of selling items from a catalog, students are asked to obtain pledges from FAMILY, FRIENDS, and NEIGHBORS using the script on the back of information that came home with your child. We DO NOT want students going door to door or asking strangers for money.
Our goal this year is to raise at least $13,500. WE can reach this goal if each student raises just $25. All students will receive a prize for participating and there will be other prizes awarded to students raising the top dollar amounts. We are also offering the following incentives: If your student raises $20 they can wear a hat to school (date TBA), $25 earns your student a Walk-a-Thon t-shirt and $30 will earn your student the chance to wear pajamas to school (date TBA). WE CAN DO THIS!!!
The Walk-a-Thon event will take place on Thursday, September 23rd at 8 AM for grades 2-3-4 and 8:30 AM for grades K-1. We will be walking all around Creekside and family members are welcome to join us for this fun, outside walk. All kids enjoy our Walk-a-Thon regardless of if he/she raised any funds.
Students will collect money from now until September 23rd. ALL MONEY IS DUE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd. Please make sure your child’s name, teacher name and shirt size are on the envelope provided!
Thank you for your support with this event. Remember, because we are not selling products, we keep 100% of the $$$ raised! The Walk-a-Thon also promotes a healthy lifestyle and gets our kids moving!

Thursday

Thursday is a big day!  Please have your child wear tennis shoes to walk outside during walk a thon.  Also--Thursday will be a dress up day: "Our Futures are Bright!" Students can either dress up in college gear/college colors OR what they want to be when they grow up.  This is to celebrate college go week.  They can wear college gear all week.

Happy short week!

I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! Maine was beautiful, but I'm glad to be back in the classroom today!

Math Study Guide

Today, I will be sending home the math unit 1 review packet.  This does not need to be returned for a grade.  It can be kept at home and worked on as review this week, to make sure your child understands all the math concepts we have worked on so far.  This will be a very good review to complete at home, before the unit 1 math test.  The math test will be on Wednesday, September 15th.  When working on it, if your child really struggles with something, please let me know so we can review at school too before the test next week.

School pictures at Creekside are upcoming next week on Friday, September 10th

If you want to purchase school pictures, you should order ahead online at inter-state.com/order and use code 59416HB.

As a reminder, all students have his/her picture taken, but it is up to you if you wish to order pictures. We will also have school picture retakes on Tuesday, November 9th, in case you aren't happy with the original photo session, or if your child is absent from school on the original school picture day.

All school pictures will be ordered online this year, using a debit card, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or an electronic check.
