October Scholastic Book Order
I am sending the October book order home today.  Remember, you can send the flyer back with a check, or order online.  No pressure to order!  Orders are due Friday, October 23rd.

Parent/Teacher Packet
As you know, COVID is changing many things that we do in school and other places.  Due to this, and limiting the number of people in the building to keep things safe and clean, we will not be holding our annual Parent/Teacher Conferences.  I will be sending home a packet that I normally hand out at conferences, later this week.  Inside this packet you will find: strengths/concerns checklist, NWEA reports, DIBELS reports, sheet on what to do at home, NWEA goal sheet (your child picked things they would do at home and school to grow on NWEA), and a self evaluation form your child completed about their first 9 weeks of second grade.  Please look these packets over, and even if it's after Fall Break, we can chat if you have any questions or concerns.  We can email, talk on the phone, or even set up a google meet and video chat.

Math Chapter 2 Review Packet
Tomorrow I will be sending home the chapter 2 review packet for math.  Remember these are just study guides, and don't need to be returned for a grade.  Our math test for chapter 2 won't be until October 21, but didn't want you to feel rushed.  Feel free to do part of it during the e-learning days next week, or if you want you can save it for Monday and Tuesday after fall break.

E-learning Days--fall break

Just a reminder--we will have e-learning days on October 12-14 where students will complete their work on the computer.  Fall break with no school will be October 15-16.  Please see below for more details from Dr. Clendening:

  • Teachers will have assignments posted in google classroom by 9am each day.
  • Student assignments are due no later than 5 days after the e-learning day.
  • There is no live instruction.  Teachers may post videos, assignments, ect, but all that is to be shared and completed will be posted by 9am.
  • We understand that not all students will have access to internet each day to complete assignments due to various factors.  Therefore, students will have five school days to complete work after the e-learning day.
