If you are interested in your child staying after school Thursdays in March for art club, please see the form that went home in your child's folder yesterday. Please note--Mrs. Garrett is only taking 15 students, who will be chosen at random. Just because you sign the form doesn't mean your child will get to participate in art club. You will be notified if your child is picked.
Sight Words
This week we are working on the words: one, two. Please add these to your practice at home!
Valentine's Day!
We had a lot of fun at our party today! We opened our cards from each other, played Valentine BINGO, graphed candy hearts, had a fun snack, and made a craft. Your child is bringing their bag of cards home today. They are also bringing home a present that we made for you! Happy Valentine's Day! Thanks to all the parents that sent something in for today! Assessments
I have been finishing up some of assessments this week for report cards. I have noticed 2 areas of weakness as a whole class: subtraction (with numbers up to 5) and identifying 3-D shapes (cube, cone, cylinder, sphere). Any extra help on these two things at home would be greatly appreciated! We will keep working in the classroom too!
Superkids
This week in Superkids we have finished our B/R books, had a Super Smart lesson on mixing colors, and tomorrow we will start Unit 3-N! Whew! What a lot of learning!
