Box Tops

Please keep sending in Box Tops labels to our classroom and help our school earn money!  Also we gladly accept Box Tops, Campbell's Labels (also found on V8, Pepperidge Farm, etc.), Coke points (worth $.05 each; parents can enter those online and donate the points themselves, or I can enter them), Tyson Project A+ labels ($.24 each), Sunbeam School Spirit upc's ($.05 each), and also pop can tabs for Riley Hospital.

Walk A Thon update

Thank you to all who raised money for our walk a thon!  Creekside raised over $12,600!!!  Way to go!  Remember if your child raised enough money they can participate in hat day and pajama day.  Those days are as follows:

• October 21--hat day
• October 23--pajama day

Earthquake Drill
Today Creekside participated in The Great Central US ShakeOut Earthquake Drill. This regional drill is officially scheduled for next week, but with fall break next week, we participated today. Though Indiana fortunately doesn't feel many earthquakes, we do have them and it is important to know how to stay safe during an Earthquake. Drop, Cover, Hold On are the important steps to take. Ask your child about this important safety drill. 

Field Trip--TOMORROW!

Tomorrow is our field trip to the zoo!  Your child will need to wear their dolphin t-shirt (I am sending these home today!) and tennis shoes.  They will need to bring their lunch and a drink in disposable containers with their name on them.  If you are signed up to chaperone, please come to the classroom at 8am tomorrow, and don't forget your lunch as well!  There is a pink paper in your child's folder today will all the details.  I took out the homework sheets today to grade, because your child's only homework tonight is to remember everything for tomorrow! :)

Fall Break

Remember, next week is our week off for Fall Break!  I know lots of you are traveling and the kids are super excited!  Enjoy your time away, and I look forward to seeing you back on Monday, October 19!
