Beautiful week ahead!

Halloween Program
Mark your calendars for the Kindergarten Halloween program!  An "official" invitation will be coming home soon, but until then mark your calendars for Thursday, October 29 from 6-7 pm.  Kindergartners will come dressed in Halloween costumes and put on a performance for families and friends! 

Sight Words
No sight words this week.  We will start Quarter 2 sight words after Fall Break. 

Book Order
The October Scholastic Book Order is coming home today.  Remember, no pressure to order to add to your home library.  But if you want to, orders and money are due by October 23rd.  You can also order online!

Math
Here is what we will be working on this week in math:

• counting to 100
• estimation
• symmetry
• number stories

Superkids
Today we finished working on our Doc workbook.  Tomorrow we will do our Read Aloud lesson, Wednesday will be our SuperSmart for this unit.  Instead of meeting a new character for one day before Fall Break, on Thursday we will do some fun Fall activities and will wait to meet our new Superkid on Monday after Fall Break.

Zoo Field Trip
Fingers crossed for no rain on Friday!! I will send a paper reminder home on Thursday,  Here are the highlights:

• your child needs to wear tennis shoes on Friday
• your child needs to wear their dolphin t-shirt to school on Friday that we painted in class (I will be sending these home on Thursday)
• please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather 
• your child needs to bring their lunch and a drink
• please write their name on both
• all containers and bags must be disposible

Wednesday--Computer Lab ( we will be going at the end of the day when we return from vision screening at Northwood)

Parent Teacher Conferences
Don't forget that parent teacher conferences are this Wednesday and Thursday from 3-7pm!  Please come to your assigned time slot.  If you lost the paper and need your time, please let me know!

Fall Break
Don't forget that Fall Break is next week! NO SCHOOL October 12-16.  See you on Monday, October 19th!
