Book Fair is Next Week!

1) Open: Monday, October 5th - Thursday, October 8th

              Hours: 9:00 am - 11:00 am & 12:50 pm - 2:00 pm

2) After-hours shopping: 

Wednesday, Oct. 7th & Thursday, Oct. 8th from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm 

3) Students are only allowed to visit the book fair if they have money to spend. The least expensive items are 50 cents.

5) Students may shop during their library time even if it is outside the scheduled times. 

6) There is a flyer in your child's folder today with some of the highlights!  But please know that these are only SOME of the books that will be available at the book fair!

Writer's Workshop
The past few weeks in writing time we have been working on adding the "code date" to our writing each day, and writing about things that we love.  We have been coming up with a list of ideas of things to write about.  Sometimes we just draw pictures, sometimes we label the pictures, and sometimes we write the sentence together.  Here is a picture of Tommy's work from yesterday!  Keep up the good work writers!  Now that we have learned several letter sounds, the students can start "working the words out" and writing down all the sounds that they hear.  Practice this at home! :)

Box Tops

Please keep sending in Box Tops labels to our classroom and help our school earn money!  Also we gladly accept Box Tops, Campbell's Labels (also found on V8, Pepperidge Farm, etc.), Coke points (worth $.05 each; parents can enter those online and donate the points themselves, or I can enter them), Tyson Project A+ labels ($.24 each), Sunbeam School Spirit upc's ($.05 each), and also pop can tabs for Riley Hospital.

Walk A Thon
