Superkids Progress Tests
We finished another Superkids progress test before Christmas.  I have those recorded and they are in folders today.  Please look over them and let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Polar Express Day
We are going to do our Polar Express activities on Friday, January 8th.  Please have your child wear their pajamas to school on Friday!

Report cards and NWEA
Due to the extra day of break before Christmas, the end of the 9 weeks has been pushed back to allow the high school to finish finals.  Therefore, report cards and NWEA reports will come home next Monday, January 11th.

100th day
The 100th day of school is quickly approaching!  Be on the lookout soon for special homework for this very special day!

Snack Calendar
The January snack calendar is in folders today.  Be sure to check it out and see if it's your turn!

Timeline Homework
This week in math we are going to be working on sequencing events and making timelines.  You will find a special homework sheet this week--you can help your child make their own timeline!  More info is in the folder.  You can use the blank timeline and attach or draw pictures, but feel free to get crafty and creative!  If you have bigger pictures, you may need/want to use a bigger piece of paper.  Be creative and have fun!  All timelines are due by Friday.

Yearbook Orders
Don't forget if you want to order a Creekside yearbook, orders and money are due January 29!

Sight Words
This week our sight words are: see, look.  Please add these to your practice at home!

Superkids
This morning we met our last Superkid!  We were very excited!  After we finish this unit, all the Superkids will join together to form the Superkids club, and we will learn about the club the rest of the year.  Here are some questions to prompt discussion at home today:

Who is the new Superkid? Hot Rod
What sound is at the beginning of his name? /h/
What does Hot Rod like to do? race cars, build racecars
What is his car's name? The Fast Cat

Pictures!
We had a great time with our Christmas party before break!  Below you will find pictures of all the centers: pin the star on the tree, Grinch snacks, paint chip Christmas Tree ornaments, and story.  We even had a surprise visitor from the North Pole!  The boys and girls were very surprised!  Thanks to all who came in and helped and/or sent in supplies!
