Yesterday Mrs. Vidal came to do her monthly guidance lesson. She talked about self control. Ask your child if they were able to NOT pop the bubbles! :)
Field Trip
We are super excited to be able to go on one last field trip before the end of the year. On Friday, May 20 Kindergarten students will be visiting Franklin College, the Johnson County Public Library, and the Franklin park, where we will be enjoying a picnic lunch. This field trip is FREE and chaperones will not be needed. Permission slips will be coming home soon. Signed permission slips will be due back by Monday, May 16.
Kindergarten Awards Day
Kindergarten Awards Day will be Thursday, May 19 from 12:30-2:00. Kindergartners will dress up as their favorite Superkid! We will begin the program in the gym with all 5 classes singing some of our favorite Superkids songs. After singing, children will be called up one at a time to receive their Kindergarten certificate from Dr. Heiden. Then, we will watch a video of some of the highlights of our year! Finally, we will return to our classroom where the children will share their Kindergarten Portfolios with you! Please plan on attending or sending another family member to this event. Children may leave with parents at the conclusion of the program.
