Only 12 school days left!

Can you believe we only have 2 full weeks left of school?!  This year has flown by!  We have so many fun things coming up in the next 12 days of Kindergarten!

Kindergarten Awards Day

Kindergarten Awards Day will be Thursday, May 19 from 12:30-2:00. Kindergartners will dress up as their favorite Superkid!  Don't forget to be looking through the online portal or books at home to come up with your child's outfit!  I will post pictures for examples of what the Superkids look like below. We will have Superkids parade in the morning, and our "graduation" program in the afternoon. Hope to see you there!  We will begin the program in the gym with all 5 classes singing some of our favorite Superkids songs.  After singing, children will be called up one at a time to receive their Kindergarten certificate from Dr. Heiden.  Then, we will watch a video of some of the highlights of our year!  Finally, we will return to our classroom where the children will share their Kindergarten Portfolios with you!  Please plan on attending this event.  Children may leave with parents at the conclusion of the program.

Field Trip
Don't forget to return the blue permission slip so that your child can attend our Franklin College, Library, and Park field trip on Friday, May 20.  This last trip of the year is FREE!  I have just about everyone's in already!  Your child will need to bring a sack lunch and wear tennis shoes on this day!

Field Day
Monday, May 23 is Field Day at Creekside.  More information pertaining to our class will be sent home on this in the coming weeks,  Dr. Heiden sent an email with a sign-up sheet attached.  Please fill that out if you are interested in helping.  It is such a fun day and a great way to celebrate the end of the school year!  

Last Day of Kindergarten!

Tuesday, May 24 is the last day of school!  This is also Creekside Awards Day (different from Kindergarten Awards Day).  Students who have had perfect attendance or outstanding attendance all year will be recognized at this program, which is from 9:00-10:30.

Mother's Day

Today your child is bringing home a special Mother's Day present that we worked on in class this week.  Hopefully they all make it home safely. :)  I have told them not to hide in until Sunday--but to give it to you early so it stays safe.  Happy Mother's Day--and thanks to all the amazing moms out there!

Perfect Attendance

We filled our third perfect attendance chart this week and got our popsicles from the office.  That's 60 days of perfect attendance!  Way to go!
