This morning from Jaedyn from Ms. Record's class came to read to use as his reward for earning 50 Reading Counts points! He did a great job reading Silly Sally and we were great listeners!
Everyday MathWe began Unit 3 in math yesterday! Be on the lookout for the parent letter explaining some of the skills we will focus on. Yesterday we worked on sorting pattern blocks by shape and graphing our findings. There was a Homelink in your child's folder that goes along with that lesson. As always with the math Homelinks, please find some time to do the activity with your child, but it is not necessary to return anything.
Homework
I noticed a few homework sheets missing from folders today. Please leave those in your child's folder until I replace it with a new one. Your child can continue to work on this throughout the week.
Zoo Field Trip
Our zoo field trip is this Friday! Here are some things to remember:
1. Please have your child bring their lunch--in a disposable bag! Everything needs to be able to be thrown away after lunch.
2. Please have your child wear comfortable walking shoes.
3. Please have your child wear their dolphin t-shirt that we painted in class. (I will send these home on Thursday).
4. Chaperones--please come to the classroom at 8am on Friday. If you get here sooner, please try to wait in the hall until 8. We need to get through our morning routines as quickly and calmly as possible. :)
