Writing

Here is what we are working on in Writing this week:

• research projects

• writing a 5 sentence paragraph

• We are finishing our animal research projects with a special activity. Stay tuned for our presentations on Friday! I will post the videos on our class Facebook page on Friday.

High Ability

Here is what we are working on in our high ability unit this week:

• venn diagrams

• reading discussion circle

• reading-- Marvin and the Mean Words

Math

Here is what we are working on in math this week:

• multiplication strategies
• writing number stories
• multiplication and division number story diagrams
• order of operations
• Our math test will be Thursday and Friday this week! Be sure to finish those review packets at home tonight to help your child study for the test!

Wonders Reading

Here is what we are working on this week in reading:

• essential question--How does the Earth change?
• genre--expository text
• phonics--r-controlled vowels (-eer, -ear, -ere)
