Happy Friday!

Heart Homework
The heart writing projects I have seen so far are so sweet!  I am so proud of the boys and girls for writing such nice things about the others in our class.  I would love to hang these up in the hallway Monday after we read them!  I still have a couple not returned--so if you could finish these up over the weekend and return them, I would greatly appreciate it!

Valentine Cards
Don't forget to keep writing Valentine's cards for everyone in the class!  Please have your child do as much of the handwriting as possible.  Cards are due next Thursday so we have time to put them in bags before our Valentine fun on Friday!

Valentine's Donations
Thank you to everyone who signed up to send something in for next week.  I think I have more than enough parents now.  If you signed up, I will send a half sheet size paper home on Monday in folders with the item I have you signed up to send in.  Please have donations sent in by next Thursday.

Riley Dance Marathon Week at Creekside February 8th-12th
Our high school has become a leader in the state with the Riley Dance Marathon and in order for them to move to the next level they need to have each school in the district donate $1 per child that attends their school. In order to try to help them out and help out Riley, we will have a Riley Dance Marathon Week during next week. We will ask that kids donate a dollar for each day, but whatever you are able to give will be appreciated.
Monday: Favorite Hat Day
Tuesday: Glam Day
Wednesday: Spirit Wear Day
Thursday: Silly Sock Day
Friday: Wear Red for Riley Day

Bus Driver Appreciation Week
FYI - next week is bus driver appreciation week.  Be sure to thank your child's bus driver! :)

College Day!
Happy College Day from these cuties!

Yoga Ball Chairs--Grant
Creekside Kindergarten was lucky enough to write and receive a grant from the Franklin Education Connection!  We used this money to start purchasing yoga ball chairs to put at our small group tables!  We are very excited about this possibility of adding movement to our classroom, at a time where the students would normally be required to be sitting still.  The yoga balls sit on a base with legs attached so they won't roll away and the whole thing is covered with a thin black fabric for comfort and so the balls can't be removed from the base and bounced around. :)  Check out a picture of our new chairs below, the new signs outside our door, and some of the benefits of using these balls in the classroom!  We have a Donors Choose page set up to hopefully get the rest of the balls we need.  I am so excited--I have big plans for the rest of the seating in our classroom in the future!! :)

Have a great weekend!  See you Monday!
